Wow, I was looking for some software to convert from bitmapped graphics to vector based a few weeks ago - despite thinking that it's absurd. This stuff is well beyond the capabilities of the software I found.

It's just getting annoying with the higher screen resolution I've got (can't really lower it, as I've got a pair of LCD screens) and web pages still designed for 800x600.... wanted to do something "different" for my new web page and do all the graphics in a vector format.

Guess the web isn't quite ready for that yet though.

Well you can't just convert. Adobe illustrator is god when it comes to creating vector art but you need to know how to do it, take years of practice to get to this level, or natural talent. It's a lot of fun though. I can do photorealistic vector-electronics, vector people I struggle with big time, I do it all the time at work but this stuff is off the chain.

A really good book to check out is the Illustator Wow book.
